Michael Blencowe BSc (Econ)

Michael is the founder and Managing Director of Moretons Investments. He is at the forefront of all decisions and is focused on increasing the value of the company’s portfolio.

Following his success leading the long-established Baron Homes Corporation, Michael saw the opportunity to enter new investment markets. He formed Moretons Investments, and with the assistance of his expert team, has rapidly grown the business to become one of the South East’s largest privately-owned asset-driven companies.

With unequivocal experience running successful property development and real estate companies in one of the country’s most sought-after areas, Michael is ideally placed to lead the organisation. Forward-thinking and customer-driven, his vision for the future of Moretons Investments is both exciting and far reaching.

George Dobson BSc (Hons) MRICS

Director of Commercial Operations
20 years experience within the property industry

George is responsible for identifying, acquiring and securing investments for the growing Moretons portfolio, while also looking at the potential uplifts and development of existing premises to maximise future value.

Having been part of the property industry since 2003, George joined Moretons Investments in July 2018, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained working for established firms such as Phillip Mann, Halls Estates, Hamptons International, SHW and Graves Jenkins.

During his substantial career in property he has also acted for clients including; SWIP, Aberdeen Asset Management, AVIVA, The Baron Homes Corporation, Hargreaves, Freshwater, Legal & General, and DTZ Investment Management.

George is a fully qualified chartered surveyor with MRICS accreditation, and also holds a High Level Diploma in Surveying Practice and a bachelor’s degree in Estate Management.

Donna Ginnaw MARLA

Head of Property Management
In excess of 6 years experience

Donna is Head of Property Management and looks after the property management team and fellow caretakers.

Donna handles all aspects of property management at Moretons Investments, mainly overseeing our portfolio of private clients accommodation. This involves directing the maintenance of properties, managing Assured Shorthold Tenancies, and supervising renovations in between tenancies.

Donna brings a wealth of industry experience from her prior roles, which include lettings management and sales negotiation. Her knowledge of the South East property market makes her a valuable member of the growing Moretons team.

Lian Lovell ACCA

Head of Accounts
In excess of 15 years experience

Lian qualified as an accountant with a degree in accountancy and business in China.

After moving to Brighton in 2006, Lian completed her diploma for Association of Accounting Technicians and continues to study the ACCA qualification. She has worked in the financial industry since graduated in China and has now completed an additional 12 years in the UK, achieving the position of senior accountant.

Lian is very much a family orientated person and continues to support her families. Hobbies include Cooking, walking, and traveling.

Brooke Evans MARLA

Property Manager

Brooke is one of our newest members to the team and holds a Property Management role within the organisation, looking after our extensive portfolio of residential properties.

Starting her property career in 2019, Brooke has continued to develop her understanding of all property matters and has completed her Property Mark Level 3 Award (MARLA) in Residential Lettings and Property Management.

Brooke handles all aspects of Property Management responsibilities, however more specifically managing Assured Shorthold Tenancies, overseeing and arranging maintenance at our properties, carrying out routine inspections, and conducting inventories and check outs.

Jess Harris

Property Manager

Jess joined Moretons in 2020 as a receptionist, however she was delighted to accept a Property Manager's position to further enhance her career and gain further knowledge within the property industry.

Jess predominantly deals with the social housing sector of Moretons Investments residential portfolio, whilst also on a day-to-day basis organising Moretons caretakers working schedule, managing and arranging maintenance contractors and ensuring that properties are continually available for the local authorities use.

Richard Lowrey

Acquisitions Director
10 years property experience

Richard joined Moretons Investments Ltd in April 2022, after playing a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of local property companies Parson Son & Basley and Star Property respectively.

Richard has held senior positions for much of his property career, and joins the team at Moretons Investments Ltd tasked with identifying property assets to assist their continued drive to increase their portfolio in all property disciplines.  

David Lawrence

Legal Director

David was born in Brighton and schooled at Brighton College, and is a dual qualified lawyer.

Originally David obtained a degree in Building Surveying from the University of Reading.  After working as a surveyor in London he then transferred to study law obtaining his PGDL from the University of Sussex, and PGDLP from the College of Law in Guildford.  David was trained in a top 100 UK law firm before being admitted to the roll in 2002.

In 2011 David obtained his qualification as an accredited Commercial Mediator from the Clerksroom Mediation Centre in Fleet Street, London.

After working his way up through various private practices in London and Brighton & Hove, David had established a significant following of high net worth investor clients.  He then set up his own commercial law firm in 2012.

After 6 years of successful growth and expansion, David sold the firm and moved with his family to Gibraltar to take up position as the General Counsel within an international group of Companies with headquarters in Gibraltar.  With operations in multiple industry sectors including real estate, construction & development, marinas, and food & beverage, David has overseen business projects in numerous jurisdictions including Gibraltar, the UK, Spain and the US.

In 2019 David passed the Gibraltar conversion examination in order to also allow his admission to the roll of solicitors in Gibraltar.

Sangsang Hu BSc

Accounts Assistant
Five years experience

Sangsang is one of our newest members to the accounting team who joined Moretons Investments in March 2023. She is responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, such as entering invoices, maintaining vendors’ accounts, scheduling bill payments, and completing daily bank reconciliations.

After finishing her bachelor’s degree in the University of Nottingham in 2013, Sangsang had been a bank account manager in China for four years. She did a lot of work on data evaluation, report writing and loan risk assessing. Sangsang moved to Brighton with her family in the spring of 2017 and is currently self-studying on Financial Accounting for further career development

Daisy Bradshaw

Receptionist

After living in Brighton for four years whilst completing her English Literature degree, Daisy joins Moretons Investments as our Receptionist, and represents Daisy's first full time employment role.

Daisy is excited by the opportunity to learn more about the world of property whilst still being able to use her valuable customer service skills that she has gained over the years.

Martin Lee

Finance Director

Martin has spent 35 years within the banking industry, including holding a variety of roles within the Corporate and Commercial divisions of several banks including RBS, Bank of Ireland and Santander.

For the last 20 years, he has concentrated on the Real Estate sector, completing deals for clients in both development and investment, whilst building a network of contacts within the banking industry.

Martin became a Property Finance Broker in January 2018 and has worked with Moretons Investments during this period, negotiating loans on behalf of the company with various finance providers in the property sector.
